Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair vs. The IIconics and Carmella
So Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville met up with Paige backstage, and they thought Paige would simply hand them a SmackDown Women’s Championship match. Instead, the former Absolution leader and current General Manager of SmackDown Live told them that they would have to earn their opportunities. She clarified that she called the two down to inform them that Mandy Rose would be the one to have a match with Becky Lynch next week after the duo trash-talked Becky for losing in a tag match to the IIconics.
Zelina Vega told the WWE Universe that Andrade “Cien” Almas will be coming to change SmackDown Live “very soon”, and Almas himself told the fans to stay tranquilo.
Charlotte Flair immediately wanted to go after Carmella, her opponent for the title match at Backlash, and ‘Mella wisely avoided the confrontation by tagging in Peyton Royce. After losing to the IIconics last week and costing Asuka in the process, Becky Lynch tagged in to get a piece of Royce.
The heels isolated Becky, and the IIconics also took out Asuka when Lynch tried to tag in the Empress of Tomorrow. But Becky was finally able to tag Charlotte, who started to go after Carmella.
And then the heels isolated Charlotte, nearly defeating The Queen before Becky broke up a key pinfall. Of course, Corey Graves dropped a “Mean Girls” reference to describe the trio of Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, and Carmella.
Just when Charlotte was in even more trouble, Asuka bounced right back up, tagged herself in, and proceeded to clean house. This is when the match started to come alive, and the crowd went absolutely bonkers when Charlotte hit her moonsault.

Finally, Asuka won the match by tapping out Royce with the Asuka Lock.
Grade: B solid match and a great way to end the show.
