WWE: Three Feuds for Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas When He Debuts
By Liam Hoofe
Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas’ WWE debut is imminent. Who should the former NXT champion square off with when he arrives on the main roster?
The Superstar Shakeup has given WWE SmackDown fans plenty to get excited about. The blue brand picked up several major acquisitions during the two-night event, but perhaps none are more exciting than former NXT champion, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.
Almas has started 2018 with a bang, putting on a match of the year candidate on each of the last two Takeover events. His match with Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Philadelphia was the WWE’s first five-star rated match from the Wrestling Observer in seven years, and his match with Aleister Black at Takeover: New Orleans was one of the best matches of WrestleMania weekend.
Almas could prove to be the Hispanic star that Vince McMahon has always wanted, and with his debut presumably a matter of weeks away, it is paramount that the WWE book him correctly when he arrives on the main roster. An essential part of that is making sure they choose the correct opponents for him when he does finally arrive on Tuesday nights.
Many NXT graduates have struggled to get over on the main roster, largely because the WWE has put them in feuds fans can’t get invested in upon their arrival. Almas could buck this trend and prove to be one of the biggest stars of 2018, so let’s take a look at three feuds that could set him off on that journey.
