Two of 205 Live’s stop stars met this week as Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy came face to face in this week’s main event.

With the rest of the WWE focusing on Money in the Bank qualification matches, 205 Live returned its focus to establishing a new contender for Cedric Alexander’s Cruiserweight title this weekAfter brawling with Cedric Alexander last week, Buddy Murphy, who was robbed of his number 1 contendership before The Greatest Royal Rumble, was out to avenge his only defeat on 205 Live as he fought Mustafa Ali in the night’s main event.

Elsewhere on the show, the brand’s blossoming tag team division continued to take shape, as the team of The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher squared off with The Lucha House Party team of Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik. Both teams have been gaining some serious momentum over the last few weeks, so both teams were out to prove that they are the dominant tag team on the brand.  All of this was taking place while the feud between Drew Gulak and Kalisto, two of the brand’s hottest stars right now, was simmering in the background.

While Raw and SmackDown have struggled to find consistency since WrestleMania, 205 Live has continued its fine run of form and is up there with NXT as the most exciting hour of WWE television every week right now. Would it continue that streak this week? Let’s take a look at last night’s episode and find out.
