Dakota Kai Vs Vanessa Bourne

Result: Dakota Kai Wins with a Modified Flipping Backstabber

Grade: C+

The storyline between Dakota Kai and Shayna Baszler is certainly a unique one, and it was continued on this week’s show as Dakota Kai was in action against Vanessa Bourne.

The match between the two was fine, nothing really worth writing home about, and Kai picked up a convincing victory with her finishing move, which was pretty awesome, but all of the interesting stuff took place after the match here.

As Kai celebrated, Shayna Baszler made her way to the ring as Kai looked absolutely terrified. Baszler entered the ring and Kai cowered in the corner. Baszler then made Kai watch as she choked out Vanessa Bourne, while all of the time holding eye contact with her. This was a really nice character moment for both women, and it sets up a really interesting storyline for the coming months.

After the match there was a quick segment with Kai being interviewed by Cathy Kelly. Baszler shows up and Kai runs away. All of a sudden, there is laughter coming from the background, and the camera cuts to Nikki Cross looking on.

The War Raiders Vs Heavy Machinery

Result: The War Raiders Wins With The Fallout

Grade: C-

The War Raiders got to look cool here, but this was basically a glorified squash match. The bout went for about 4 minutes, with The War Raiders dominating the majority of the bout. While I get that they want to make The War Raiders look dominant, these two teams could have had a better match here, if they had been given a little more time.
