8. Moose

Moose had his match against Kongo Kong at “House of Hardcore”, taped away from the Impact Zone. The match itself wasn’t anything special, but the finish was important. It looked like Moose had an opportunity to put Kongo Kong away, so Jimmy Jacobs quickly intervened to save his monster, hitting Moose from behind with a chair. That didn’t hurt Moose, who ended up grabbing the chair from Jacobs to ward both the “Zombie Princess” and the “Monster” off. However, it did end the match, as Moose won by disqualification.

The fact that Moose was protected from Kongo Kong in a match taped away from Impact’s home turf isn’t surprising, but it’s notable nonetheless. Impact wants us to believe that “Mr. Impact” will be the one to defeat Kongo Kong in the end, though I’m wondering if that honor could go to “Johnny Impact, who was brutalized by the monster weeks ago.

Either way, Moose is in a good spot, and he’s another wrestler who has a chance to challenge for one of the big titles in the near future, too.

7. Su Yung

She wasn’t on television this week after locking Rosemary up in a casket last week, but this storyline is so good that Su Yung has to be ranked somewhere in the top ten every week. I’m so impressed with how quickly she’s blossomed in Impact, and she’s managed to nail a character that could easily be seen as childish or hokey. Yung is anything but either, as she’s legitimately a skin-crawling heel who conjures up nightmares and serves as the perfect foil to Rosemary.
