3. Is the WWE finally giving Rusev a push?
The skeptical fan in me is repeatedly telling this is not the case. But the optimistic fan in me believes otherwise. If anything, Rusev defeated Daniel Bryan cleanly in the center of the ring during the main event of the night. That is the closest he has come towards the main event scene this year.
Rusev Day is running wild across the WWE. But creative has chosen time and again to ignore the cheers and are reluctant to turn him face. But alongside Aiden English, Rusev has found new life. Now with the potential addition of Lana back in the mix, Rusev might indeed be scaling new heights soon. My only prayers is that they don’t have Rusev ditch Aiden English.
If anything, English deserves much credit for getting Rusev Day to where it is now. Their pairing has to continue even as Rusev focuses on being a singles performer once again. English can jump in the ring every now and then but mostly he will assist him at ringside and entertain us with his masterful singing.
Is Rusev Day finally here? Hopefully, that’s the case until Money in the Bank hits us. If Rusev can ride this wave of momentum all the way into the match and capture that career changing briefcase or at least come close to it, we can be assured; Rusev is still in the safe zone.
