The May 14 edition of WWE Raw saw more Money In The Bank pay-per-view developments as well as other potential storylines to keep in mind moving forward.
Last night’s WWE Raw added more participants to the Money in the Bank ladder matches next month and also saw a few other angles taking further shape.
The red brand is starting to balance itself out with all of facets of the show becoming clearer one way or another. With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the May 14 edition of WWE Raw.
5. The B Team Has Potential To Make A Splash
A couple of superstars that have floated around with no clear direction over the past few years are Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. Both have been part of random situation after random situation and now without The Miz on SmackDown, nobody knew where they would go next.
It appears as if The Miztourage has found their calling on Raw after last night’s turn of events. Both Axel and Dallas are talented, but haven’t had a real chance to show it in a long time. However, after a backstage segment with GM Kurt Angle last night, The B Team was born.
Axel and Dallas coined The B Team name to describe they feel they are the best team. And The B Team would get a chance to get their feet wet last night when Axel and Dallas battled Breezango in tag team action. With custom-made shirts and all, The B Team made a statement and for the first time in a while, Axel and Dallas got the win.
The WWE universe often gets behind superstars that are viewed as jobbers and given how both Axel and Dallas have been underutilized for so long, The B Team gimmick has the potential to get over and make a splash in the tag team division on Monday nights. A few more weeks of building and it could even receive a tag team title opportunity sometime down the line given how the tag team division on the red brand is up in the air.
The B Team wants to show it’s the best and last night’s triumph was a turn for the better and could set the two in the right direction.
