Big E and Xavier Woods vs. Sheamus and Cesaro
The Miz is on commentary for this match, and, as usual, he is fantastic. Meanwhile, Sheamus and Cesaro isolate Xavier Woods for most of the match, as we’re clearly building towards another absolutely insane Big E hot tag.
After Big E comes in and throws around Sheamus, he gets placed into the sharpshooter by Cesaro. It takes a bit for Woods to come in and save Big E from the submission hold, so there’s been some serious damage inflicted.
The match ends in seriously awesome fashion, with Big E hitting his jaw-dropping spear to Sheamus, launching the Celtic Warrior to the outside. Xavier took advantage, jumping off the top rope and halfway across the ring to hit Cesaro with an elbow drop.
Now that The New Day have won this match, they will have to pick one member to enter the Money in the Bank ladder match. While on commentary, The Miz was selling the idea that the New Day could have some trouble picking a member, since Money in the Bank is a career-changing event. The New Day are inseparable, so it’s hard seeing this coming in the way of anything. But still, it will be interesting to see how they select their representative after an impressive victory over Sheamus and Cesaro.
Grade: B, a solid match, as per usual when these wrestlers are involved.
