Shinsuke Promo
Shinsuke Nakamura tells Renee Young that it is a “certainty” that he will defeat AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank. He says he will dishonor Styles by hitting him with Kinsasha after Kinsasha.
Becky Lynch vs. Sonya Deville vs. Mandy Rose
As expected, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville try working together to take down Becky Lynch, but Mandy breaks Sonya’s trust early on. She tried to steal a victory by rolling up Sonya, but all that did was irk Sonya a little bit. Later in the match, Sonya would hit Mandy with a savage receipt.
The battle between Mandy and Sonya continued, as Rose would try and steal a pin away from Sonya on Lynch. Just seconds later, Deville tried to do the same after a high-impact move from Rose landed on Becky.
In the end, Lynch brilliantly countered another roll-up attempt from Mandy, who defeated Lynch last week in that fashion, into a Dis-Arm-Her to finally lock in her finisher and win the match.
Becky is going to the Money in the Bank ladder match, joining Charlotte Flair, Ember Moon, and Alexa Bliss. She has to be considered one of the favorites to win, especially since there are so many ways they could build a briefcase/title run around Lynch’s current trajectory. She hasn’t won a title since being the first SmackDown Women’s Champion in 2016, and after being screwed over time after time, she seems hell-bent on making that happen. I can’t wait to see her in the ladder match on June 17.
Grade: B-, fun match. It’s always great to watch Becky in the ring, and the interactions between Rose and Deville were also worthwhile.
