Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander and Flash Morgan Vs Drew Gulak, Joseph Connors, and James Drake
Result: Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander and Flash Morgan Won With a 450 Splash
Grade: B
Like the opening match, this was a really fun bout, and all of the superstars involved got plenty of time to shine. Progress regular Flash Morgan looked impressive here, and his character would make a fun addition to the WWE roster, while former WCPW (now Defiant) champion Joseph Connors is always impressive to watch.
The match had a similar tone to the opener, and I liked Gulak operating as the leader of the heel stable, he is one of the best characters on 205 Live right now, and his in-ring style always works well against the brand’s more high-flying offence.
The faces picking up the win was a nice way to close the night, and the defeat didn’t do any of the other guys any harm going forward. Alexander is set to defend his Cruiserweight title against Buddy Murphy in just two weeks, so having him get the win here felt necessary.
Overall, this was a really fun episode of 205 Live. The addition of the UK stars give the show a unique feel, and I’d like to see the company do more of these when they are in the UK in the future. The UK stars really fit in on the 205 Live brand, and the company should make more use of some of these guys.
