WWE Raw Power Rankings: Seth Rollins is Amazing on Four Continents

12. Nia Jax (last week: 12)
The Raw Women’s Champion holds steady this week because she not only didn’t appear on Raw, but she wasn’t in the same time zone as the crew on the road. However, even though Jax wasn’t around, she had a role in a big bit of news that is going to shape the women’s division for the next few weeks.
While in New York City for the NBCUniversal Upfront presentation, Jax tracked down Ronda Rousey. Interestingly, Jax issued a challenge to the Baddest Woman on the Planet for a championship match at Money in the Bank. Despite Rousey’s notoriety and name recognition, it’s almost like Nia is punching down. That doesn’t make for a great champion, in my opinion.
11. Jinder Mahal (last week: 6)
The Maharaja takes a bit of a tumble simply because he didn’t participate in his scheduled match this week. It’s not his fault: he was assaulted backstage by Roman Reigns — TWICE. While it builds sympathy for Jinder, it doesn’t really do him any favors as far as earning a championship opportunity.
By missing out on the MITB match, Jinder is presumably out of the world title picture for the time being. And — again, not his fault — he’s losing his heat as a hated heel, because Reigns’s actions have made Jinder a sympathetic figure. It’s going to be horrible for the long-term storytelling if Jinder gets babyface reactions. He’s not officially turning any time soon, but just because the fans want to boo Reigns, they’ll cheer Jinder. And inexplicably, WWE is making booking decisions to back up those reactions.
