WWE SmackDown Grades: Nakamura Gains Big Advantage Over Styles

1. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles

It took the WWE about a year to have AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura cross paths, but now that rivalry is in full swing.  Nakamura’s heel turn at WrestleMania 34 has shaken up the rivalry and the two are set for another showdown at Money In The Bank.

Despite already having three matches in the past month or so, there have been enough screwy finishes, including Backlash, to warrant another match at Money In The Bank.  But last night saw the two main event the show with the winner choosing the stipulation for their match at Money In The Bank next month.

Seeing Styles vs. Nakamura on free TV was very enticing, but seeing it happen was a real treat.  These two put on a very good match that could be argued as their best match so far in the WWE.  There was an abundance of great counters and ring psychology going on as well, but the end showed the new Nakamura and what he will do in order to win games.

The King Of Strong Style acted as if The Phenomenal One hit him with a low blow and with Styles’ back turned to the ref, Nakamura took advantage and wound up hitting him with a kinshasa for the win.  It was an Eddie Guerrero-like tactic from Nakamura and it was great to see to wrap up a great match.

Nakamura will now have the right to choose the stipulation in his quest to capture the WWE Championship and that will shake up this feud even further.
