WWE Money In The Bank: The End Of The Styles Vs. Nakamura Feud

The now storied rivalry between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura over the WWE Championship needs to have its last chapter at WWE Money in the Bank.

An AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura feud, especially over the WWE Championship, was something all wrestling fans have been clamoring for ever since they both made their debuts in WWE.

Now that we actually got that feud, some fans, myself included, are tired of seeing the two go at it. Odd storytelling has really affected the great matches that these two should have been putting on all along, and now what was once a dream come true is becoming a nightmare in WWE.

Okay, well, a nightmare is a bit of an exaggeration because these two have been putting on some great matches and have been doing their best with the odd storyline of hitting each other in the groin.

But, this feud has technically been going on since Shinsuke won the Royal Rumble in January. In the months following that win, we’ve seen a disappointing match leading to a heel turn at WrestleMania, a double count out at The Greatest Royal Rumble, another no contest at Backlash, and a great match on SmackDown Live where the title was on the line.

So, AJ and Shinsuke have now faced each other four times in a span of two months, and Money in the Bank will be their 5th encounter. This feud for WWE’s most prestigious title featuring two of their best Superstars is in danger of becoming stale and uninteresting.

Neither performers have really been able to let loose in the feud yet due to the weird finishes, so I think Money in the Bank should be where they leave it all on the table. Otherwise, it will just leave fans frustrated and will deflate the momentum of both Styles and Nakamura.

So, this could be Shinsuke Nakamura’s crowning moment that would give him an interesting title run as a heel. The only problem is that if the title changes hands, AJ will be able to invoke a rematch leading to another match, which will only drag the feud out even more which would devalue and deflate Nak’s title run.

This is why Nakamura should instate a stipulation for their match where there is no rematch clause. There should be one undisputed WWE Champion, while the loser walks away from the feud into another storyline on SmackDown Live.

With the Superstar Shakeup occurring, AJ and Shinsuke going their separate ways is, well, best for business because there are so many fresh rivalries for both Superstars that could help them out so much more than just going back and forth with each other.

AJ could take on the likes of Samoa Joe, The Miz, Andrade Almas, or even Big Cass, while Shinsuke could feud with Superstars like Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy, or Randy Orton. And the best part is that all of those possible feuds make for realistic and exciting potential WWE Championship worthy feuds.

So, it does not matter who comes out victorious in their WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank, the only thing that matters is that AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura finish their feud (for now) in a breathtaking affair at the event.
