DJ Z and Andrew Everett Look to Make a Quick Tag Title Push
DJ Z and Andrew Everett debuted as a tag team two weeks ago in an X-Division showcase 6 man tag match. They would earn their first victory as a tag team last week against the Latin American Xchange who are former Impact Tag Team Champions. Z and E earned a shot at the new Tag Team Champions Eli Drake and Scott Steiner who were victorious at Redemption. DJ Z and Andrew Everett look to make their first huge splash as a tag team.
Steiner and Drake isolate DJ Z early in this championship match. They keep the X-Division star in their corner and have an answer for any offense he tries. Steiner uses his power to keep DJ Z on the ground early in this match. He hits a samoan drop from the top turnbuckle but after that huge move Z is able to fight his way back.
Andrew Everett comes into the match and is able to quicken the pace of this match. It goes right into the wheel house of these two X-Division stars. At this point, it doesn’t always look like Z and E are a fully functioning cohesive unit. They were able to show their tag team potential in this match. Steiner introduces a chair but he accidentally takes out Drake, setting Everett up for a standing shooting star press. Z and E are the new World Tag Team Champions.
