WWE SmackDown 5 Predictions: Xavier Woods Is Going To MITB
4. Xavier Woods Chosen To Compete
Just about everyone thinks Big E will be the wrestler from The New Day to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match. And that’s precisely why it will be the member of The New Day that everyone least expects to be chosen: Xavier Woods.
The New Day defeated The Bar in a tag team match, and that tag match had an interesting stipulation. See, the winner would be able to select one member of their team to compete in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match on June 17.
On SmackDown Live tonight, The New Day will announce who they’ve chosen on an episode of Miz TV. The Miz, of course, qualified for MITB by defeating Jeff Hardy in a singles match, and he is widely seen as a favorite to win the whole damn thing, especially because of the popular idea that he will cash in on Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at some point.
I expect The Miz to try and antagonize The New Day. He loves trying to turn people against each other, and he will try and plant seeds of doubt in the minds of each member in an attempt to wedge the unbreakable faction apart.
It won’t work. The Miz will praise Big E as a powerhouse and Kofi Kingston as a legend with a long list of accomplishments. Then he will turn to Xavier Woods and start calling him the weak link.
Money in the Bank needs a surprise entrant, and Woods would be that guy. He goes all-out in all of his matches, and I’d LOVE to see his hurricanranas and elbow drop action in a ladder match. This would be a huge opportunity for Woods, so I’m hoping he gets a chance to shine at MITB.
