Report: Jason Jordan To Appear At Raw Tapings In Richmond Next Week

Jason Jordan has been out of action for months after suffering a neck injury earlier this year, and fans have been anticipating his return. He will reportedly be at the WWE Raw tapings next week in Richmond, Virginia, and it will be interesting to see his first storyline upon his return.

On Feb. 5, Jason Jordan required a minor procedure on his neck to decompress a nerve, as he was having difficulty with his grip strength due to the neck injury. Jordan is expected to be at full strength when he returns, and it sounds like Jordan’s return to the ring should be coming soon.

PW Insider’s Mike Johnson reports that Jordan is scheduled to be at the WWE Raw tapings next week in Richmond, Virginia. Johnson notes that Jordan was in Long Island a couple of weeks ago, though he did not appear on television.

Prior to being off of television for months due to the surgery, Jordan was one of Raw’s fastest rising stars, embracing his new heel/face tweener persona. Equal parts entitled and arrogant, Jordan has blossomed as Kurt Angle’s kayfabe son, which wasn’t an easy spot for him to begin with.

There are several options for future storylines involving Jordan. His former tag team partner from American Alpha, Chad Gable, is now on Raw and boasts a big win over Jinder Mahal. Jordan also tagged with Seth Rollins, and his grating personality tested Rollins’s patience. On top of that, Jordan would try and pretend to be another member of The Shield, further irritating both Rollins and Roman Reigns. A potential program with Rollins, who is the current Intercontinental Champion, is a possibility.

Always crisp in the ring and among the strongest and most explosive athletes on the main roster, Jordan has improved by leaps and bounds as a promo and an actor. His confidence started to shine through in January, and I can’t wait to see him back out there.

Although Jordan is reportedly scheduled to be backstage at Raw next week, there’s no guarantee he will make his television return. However, since his return can’t be too far away, there’s a distinct possibility we could hear the “Next Generation of Great” theme hit on Monday night.
