Kairi Sane Vs Lacey Evans
Result: Lacey Evans Wins with the ‘Women’s Right’
Grade: C+
The feud between Lacey Evans and Kairi Sane has really given Evans a chance to reinvent herself in NXT, and she has definitely grabbed the bull by the horns.
Following her squash victory last week, Evans picked up the surprise victory here in what was an entertaining bout. The two women had some great back and forths, and Sane managed to look strong, even in defeat.
Evans is really starting to pick up some momentum right now, and I’m glad they decided to give her the shock victory here, as a victory for Sane would have likely killed Evan’s momentum dead. Her new finishing move, the ‘women’s right’ punch is a good ‘out of nowhere’ move as well, and one that makes her look dominant, while also not making her opponents look too bad in defeat.
The two women will likely get a rubber match at NXT Takeover: Chicago, one that Sane will no doubt win, but if they are given more time than this, they will no doubt put on a great show.
The Undisputed Era talk
We get another quick backstage video, this time with The Undisputed Era. They talk about their defeat last week and mock their opponents. They mispronounce Burch, Lorcan and Dunne’s names and talk about how they will tell their grandchildren about their victory. Once again, this was an excellent promo from these guys. Kyle O Reilly is one of the funniest promos in the WWE right now, and his facial expressions are so fascinating to watch.
