WWE 205 Live: Results, Grades and Analysis for May 29th
By Liam Hoofe
After missing out on his title shot in April, Buddy Murphy finally got a chance to go one on one with Cedric Alexander on this week’s WWE 205 Live.
WWE 205 Live is quickly becoming one of the best hours of weekly WWE television and this week’s show felt like a must-see for fans, with Cedric Alexander putting his title on the line against Buddy Murphy.
The two men were originally scheduled to meet at last month’s The Greatest Royal Rumble event but the match was delayed for various reasons. The storyline reason for the match not happening was that Murphy had failed to make weight for the match and now, having finally done so, he would get the shot that he earned nearly two months ago.
Alexander and Murphy have been two of the brightest stars during the recent 205 Live renaissance, and both men have been involved in some of the brand’s best matches so far in 2018.
Alexander won the belt at WrestleMania 34, when he defeated Mustafa Ali on the pre-show and has defended it once since, defeating Kalisto at The Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Murphy has been steam-rolling his way through the Cruiserweight division since arriving on the brand back in March and has quickly become one of its top stars. Who would be leaving this week’s 205 Live with the belt around their waist? Let’s take a look at this week’s show and find out.
