WWE Money in the Bank 2018 Match Card Predictions Version 3.0
Nia Jax (c) vs. Ronda Rousey For The Raw Women’s Championship
Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss twice to gain and retain the Raw Women’s Championship, and she did so while surviving Bliss’s (and Mickie James’s…let’s not forget about her!) bullying. Bliss countered by releasing vignettes where she accused Jax of being a bully. Sadly, it appears Bliss was right (huge problem, by the way), because Jax decided to physically torment a local talent on last week’s episode of Raw.
WWE has turned Jax heel for this impromptu championship feud with Ronda Rousey, who is almost certainly bound to walk away from Money in the Bank with her first title reign. Honestly, the only thing that can stop Rousey from being the champion is a wonky finish, which would likely come courtesy of Stephanie McMahon.
That said, I don’t see an awkward finish happening here. Rousey should win this one cleanly. We’ve seen Jax tap out to an armbar before (Asuka), so her BS about how she can counter an armbar with a powerbomb just doesn’t cut it. I’m honestly so disappointed with how sudden the transition from anti-bullying advocate to bully has been for Jax, and the creative team could have done a much more skillful job of setting up this rivalry.
Prediction: Ronda Rousey is the new Raw Women’s Champion
