4. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tye Dillinger
Shinsuke Nakamura will have the battle of his life at Money In The Bank when he challenges AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match. However, last night was all about sending a message to the champion in a match that stemmed from a twitter exchange.
Nakamura has been obsessed by counting to 10 lately, symbolizing what he hopes to do to Styles at Money In The Bank. But what better superstar to mention 10 than The Perfect Ten? Tye Dillinger got a big opportunity last night after calling out Nakamura on twitter and he went one-on-one with The King Of Strong Style.
The match didn’t seem like it would be much, but it was solid in terms of storytelling and symbolism. The psychotic-like Nakamura tried to lay out Dillinger for a 10 count, but he wouldn’t go down easily. That only irritated Nakamura and he sent a bigger message to Styles in the process.
Dillinger would eventually go down via a kinsasha. This new side of Nakamura is tremendous and it really shined in this match. It wasn’t a great match by no means, but it was solid and featured great storytelling in anticipation to the Last Man Standing match in less than three weeks with the richest prize in the game on the line.
The King Of Strong Style continues to become more unhinged and The Perfect Ten felt the wrath of that last night.
