Impact Wrestling Has an Opportunity for Shotzi Blackheart

Blackheart will receive an opportunity at an Impact Wrestling television taping this Saturday as a part of their talent sharing partnership with RISE

Good news for fans of the Ballsy Badass, Shotzi Blackheart. News broke today that Shotzi had been selected from the current RISE roster to receive an “opportunity” at this week’s Impact Wrestling tapings in Windsor, Ontario. Shotzi was chosen based on her performance at the “Lights, Camera, Action: The Art of TV” seminar and subsequent RISE – ASCENT tapings in Pittsburgh, PA in May. RISE was quick to share congratulations  for Blackheart and hopes for future opportunities: 

"“This is a moment of tremendous pride for all of us at RISE,” said RISE Executive Producer, Kevin Harvey. “Shotzi has put in countless hours of training and gym time, endless miles by road and by air, all to become better, all to find more opportunities to wrestle with the very best. And now, a big opportunity is before her. I cannot wait to see what comes of it. […] I have been part of a number of conversations with IMPACT officials about a number of our girls. This weekend, Shotzi will become the first from the RISE to receive such an opportunity. I would bet anything that she will not be the last,” said Harvey."

This opportunity is the result of the ongoing partnership between RISE and IMPACT to promote great female talent both on screen and behind the scenes in women’s wrestling. As for what the opportunity is, we don’t know yet, but fans of Blackheart know that the IMPACT audiences are in for a treat. Blackheart is one of the most unique wrestlers working today, known for her big-risk-big-reward wrestling style and huge personality outside of the ring. If you love pizza, monster movies, and death-defying finishers, you’ll be a fan of Shotzi Blackheart.

She’s also a key part of the RISE roster, and she will be taking on current Phoenix of RISE Champion Delilah Doom to attempt to reclaim the title at RISE 8 on June 29th. If you haven’t been lucky enough to catch Blackheart at your local promotion, you can see her in action on the first episode of RISE – ASCENT, where she takes on Kimber Lee in an awesome main event match.
