4. Pentagon Jr.

It took two double count-outs, three “Last Chanceries”, a low-blow punt, and a brainbuster, but Pentagon Jr. dropped the Impact World Championship to Austin Aries in the main event of Under Pressure after an absolute roller-coaster of a main event that had all of his on the edge of our seats.

Pentagon Jr. lost the title, but because Aries took the easy way out by blasting him in the nuts, the legendary Luchador can argue that Aries did not prove he’s the better man. This rivalry isn’t over at all, and if Pentagon Jr. truly has no fear, he won’t be afraid to give Aries a taste of his own medicine. Except Pentagon Jr. will hit him back twice as hard.

3. Su Yung, Knockouts Champion

If Tessa Blanchard is Impact’s resident bully, Su Yung is the promotion’s resident serial killer. Yung burned Rosemary’s coffin into a crisp two weeks ago, and she trapped Allie in a casket last week to steal the Knockouts Championship.

There’s no doubt that Yung’s bloody Mandible Claw is deeply unsettling, and now that she’s the champion, the Knockouts Division is in a very dark but exciting place. Yung’s in-ring work isn’t exceptional, but it doesn’t matter. That tells me so much about Yung, because it means her matches will always be enjoyable no matter what. See, because even if there are sloppy moments, it’s still so easy to get invested in her fights because her character work is so damn good. I always feel disgusted, shocked, or engaged with her matches, since she captures the essence of “The Undead Bride” so well.
