After a landmark month in April, NXT continued to excel throughout the month of May.

April 2018 was an exceptional month for NXT, the brand delivered one of the finest WWE PPVs of all time in New Orleans and several major talents also made their debut for the brand.

Thankfully, the show has continued to deliver throughout May, with the brand expertly juggling their extremely talented roster and providing screen-time for the vast majority of their talents.

The show is unrivalled as the best hour of weekly WWE television right now, and things are getting even better as they approach their next big event, NXT Takeover: Chicago, which will take place in two weeks time.

With the roster having had a bit of a shake-up in April, everything has begun to settle down now, and the hierarchy of their new roster has begun to fall into place. Several new feuds have started during May, and will likely continue throughout the summer, but who has managed to excel during the month? Let’s take a look back over the month and power-rank the brand’s top 10 superstars.

10: Lacey Evans (New Entrant)

Lacey Evans has undergone quite the change over the last couple of weeks. Her slight character change has seen her become one of the most entertaining performers on the brand in May, and her victory over Kairi Sane on the May 23rd edition of the show cements her place as a serious competitor on the brand.

Her new finishing move, women’s right, is an excellent addition to her character and she could well be set for a Takeover match in Chicago against Kairi Sane. Evans has some momentum behind her at the moment, and NXT will be wise to capitalise on that when her feud with Sane has finished.

9: EC3

EC3 may have only had two matches this month, and they may have both been glorified squash matches, but he has looked every bit the superstar he is in the process.

While there are many stars who are more than ready to step up to the main roster in the WWE, few have felt like legitimate superstars as quickly as EC3. His one-percenter gimmick has instantly gotten over with the crowd and there are few who have the natural star-power that he does.

His video packages have really added to his character, and when Takeover is out of the way, he is likely to get his first feud on the brand.
