2: Pete Dunne ( New Entrant)

At this point, Pete Dunne’s UK title just feels like a part of his gimmick. It is difficult to imagine anybody taking the belt from The Bruiserweight anytime soon and frankly, I’m fine with that.

Dunne has become a more regular fixture on NXT this month, and he is one of the most entertaining superstars to watch on the whole roster. His work with Lorcan and Burch has been excellent, and he has been involved in some excellent matches. His match with Roderick Strong on May 2nd was excellent and would have been even better had it not gone to a DQ finish, and he also excelled in the aforementioned six-man tag team match on May 16th.

Dunne is a star in the waiting right now, and having him feud with the likes of Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era is certainly not going to do him any harm.

1: Tommaso Ciampa  (April: #2)

Tommaso Ciampa is hands down, the most entertaining performer in the WWE today. Not only is he incredible to watch in the ring, but his character work is unrivalled right now.

After stealing the show at NXT Takeover: New Orleans in a five-star match with Johnny Gargano, Ciampa has continued to excel as the top heel on NXT throughout May.

While Ciampa has only competed in one match during May, it was the best match on NXT of the month, as he defeated Kassisus Ohno in a heated encounter on the May 9th episode of the show.

Ciampa’s work outside of the ring is what really excels him though. His Twitter account is easily the best wrestling account today, with Ciampa completely embraces his character and becoming the most hateable wrestler on the net.

He also took part in one of the month’s best segments on the May 23rd edition of the show. After attacking Gargano earlier in the month, Ciampa finally came face to face with his opponent, only to inadvertently leave Gargano’s wife, Candice LaRae lying unconscious on the entrance ramp.

The two men are set to meet at Takeover: Chicago, and if their match is anywhere near as good as it was last month, expect to find the two men at the top of this list again in June.
