Lash of the Titans

So, is Bobby Lashley’s new gimmick “Man of Many Hats”? Stay tuned for a new column later this week, titled “Bobby Lashley is Malibu Stacy Come to Life.” Permanently frozen smile, over-manufactured, fake, and has a new hat — if Waylon Smithers tries to pick him up, then we know the truth.

Lashley doesn’t do much except make his hat look good. Instead, Sami Zayn (once again) carries the segment on the mic. And Zayn is basically a petulant teenager, looking for things to tear a rival down with while forgetting about his own issues until it’s convenient. How long was Sami holding the mic in his “injured” hand before he remembered it was hurt?

This week in “Lashley is a Liar” featured the Dominator’s Instagram posts. Apparently, Bobby is one of those annoying “motivational post” types. In fairness to Sami, he’s totally right about Lashley being a phony here. Those types of posts are almost always made by people who don’t follow their own advice.

Of course, Sami takes things too far when he claims Lashley lied about serving in the armed forces. And for the first time since they started feuding, I’m totally on Lashley’s side. Say what you will about the necessities of war, you don’t accuse a soldier of lying willy-nilly. The look in Lashley’s eyes makes you wonder if even he thinks this is going too far.

What the Heck is this Production?

Charly Caruso interviews Jinder Mahal, and Renee Young interviews Roman Reigns. Then they ignore Charly and Renee and argue via satellite. It’s super awkward, because they can’t correctly time their speech to be reasonably timed out.

But they fight, and people cheer for Roman again, so yay!
