ROH Wrestling Episode 350: Results, Grades, and Analysis
Karen Q vs. Tenille Dashwood
Tenille got a superstar reaction, which was nice to see. Karen Q was very upset that the crowd liked Tenille. The Code of Honor was kept, but barely. We saw an exchange of waist locks early on, in a decent start. Tenille went for a head scissors takeover, but Karen Q didn’t flip with it in a small botch. Thankfully, Tenille grabbed Karen’s foot and tripped her, making it look more natural and it covered the botch well.
Karen Q hit a series of strikes, and a handspring elbow before finishing the segment with an exploder suplex. Tenille kicked out. Karen proceeded to get the heat on Tenille for the next few minutes. Karen went for a hair pull on the ground by stepping on Tenille’s hair, and Tenille kicked her in the face to get away. However, Karen kept on the offence, keeping Tenille on the defensive. Tenille kicked out after a side slam, and the crowd started to rally behind her.
Tenille was able to turn around when Karen went running towards the corner and Tenille hit a boot the face. Tenille hit the Taste of Tenille while yelling, “It’s all about me” which makes me question how she’s a babyface. However, Karen kicked out. Karen managed to lock in a Boston crab, and Tenille made it to the ropes to break it up. Tenille managed to reverse a second Boston crab attempt into a pinfall attempt, and she got the win! Karen Q grabbed a chair and threw a fit after the match.
Result: Tenille Dashwood
Rating: 2 out of 5
There was nothing special to this match, but nothing bad. Outside of the one botch, it was relatively well wrestled, and served as a night little highlight of Karen Q while giving Tenille the win to help build her momentum.
