Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair

This was a very good TV match between the two friends going into Money in the Bank. Becky and Charlotte showed here that they have very good chemistry together, and this got me very interested in seeing a full program between the two at some point down the line. While there wasn’t anything mind blowing in this match, I enjoyed the mat wrestling between these two and the counters thrown in throughout.

The match was built largely on some typical friend vs. friend sort of spots; both women would be thinking of doing the same move, including both of them blocking each other’s kicks and then agreeing to put the other’s leg down on three. Throughout the match it also seemed like they both knew each other very well and had counters for anything the other had to offer, which was a nice touch.

Becky managed to get the win with a cool reversal on Charlotte trying to lock in the figure four, but Becky would get a hold of Charlotte’s arm and put her in the disarm-her for the submission victory.

Going into Money in the Bank, there’s really no one in the Women’s ladder match that I have any interest in winning other than Becky Lynch. After many years of Becky being lost in the shuffle, she finally has some momentum here going into the PPV, and could cap it off by winning the briefcase.
