The World Title Picture Gets a Little More Clear for Slammiversary

It seems like Pentagon Jr. is now out of the main event picture of Impact Wrestling.  After losing to Austin Aries last week via shenanigans, he wasn’t even mentioned in the promo for a number one contender.  Eli Drake hosted an episode of the Fact of Life where he named Moose his number one dummy.  Moose took offense and it ended in a brawl with Moose laying on his back and Eli Drake laughing up the ramp.

Austin Aries is interviewed by Josh Mathews as Slammiversary is approaching.  Aries doesn’t want to give a preference to his opponent for one of Impact’s biggest pay-per-view.  He does give Eli Drake the advantage since he has been the World Champion once before.  Aries feels as if Moose hasn’t proved himself yet.

Mathews questions the actions of Aries in winning the World Championship back.  Aries claims that most of the all time greats did all they could to retain and win the World Title.  This confirms the heel turn of Austin Aries who comes off better as a heel anyway.  As he is on vacation, Eli Drake and Moose are set to battle next week to see who will challenge him.
