4. The Miz

I love it when The Miz is desperate. Technically he’s always desperate, but I love it when he’s so desperate that you can just see the pain in his eyes. I love it when you can see the desire that his character has to become WWE Champion and prove that he’s every bit as good as John Cena is. I love it when he becomes so possessed by his innermost desires that he starts chopping pancakes out of the air, dressing up as a referee, and picking fights with people bigger than him.

This is The Miz that is poised to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, and even though I’m cool with Rusev, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, or Samoa Joe grabbing the briefcase, I’ll still be sad if The Miz doesn’t win. Because damn it, this is his time to be WWE Champion again.

3. Daniel Bryan

“Shin bone to your dome when your momma ain’t home.”

What a banger of a promo. Daniel Bryan is the kind of guy who is so good in the ring that you almost forget that he isn’t just some “Indy darling”. He’s everything the WWE loves in a babyface, because he has the fire and the experience to go out there and cut one of the promos of the year off-the-cuff. I mean, this promo wasn’t supposed to be televised, but it gained such traction on social media that WWE just had to air it the following week.

Oh, and Bryan is one of the only wrestlers who can make technical wrestling entertaining in the WWE style. He did it again with Benjamin on SmackDown Live this week.
