WWE: 3 Potential United States Championship Feuds For Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy has had a decorated WWE career over the past two decades or so that has featured about every championship imaginable, but one championship still eluded him.
The Charismatic Enigma has been a tag team champion, Intercontinental Champion, WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, but the United States Championship eluded him throughout his WWE career. That all changed following WrestleMania 34 when after the superstar shakeup, Hardy captured the U.S. Championship.
After successfully defending his title against Randy Orton at Backlash, Hardy’s title hasn’t had a clear future. In fact, Hardy hasn’t even been on TV much lately. What superstars could challenge The Charismatic Enigma for his title? Here are three possibilities.
3. Andrade “Cien” Almas
NXT has had its fair share of standout performers over the years, but Andrade Almas ranks right at the top of that list. Almas had a hugely successful stint in NXT and has since made his main roster debut on the blue brand.
Almas came to Tuesday nights with his manager Zelina Vega and immediately mowed through some lesser competition. It appears as if he is in a feud with Sin Cara right now, but in the future, it seems likely Almas will reach a championship level. What better situation to get him going than the United States Championship and a seasoned veteran in Jeff Hardy?
Hardy is great at making his opponents look great and given how much promise Almas has shown in the WWE, that could be a great first major feud on the main roster for Almas. The WWE has done the non-American going after the U.S. Championship bit to death by this point, but Almas presents a different opportunity to put a different twist on things.
It might not happen for a while given how new Almas still is to the SmackDown brand, but after he settles in more, a Hardy vs. Almas feud for the U.S. Championship could be a smashing success. The two characters involved would probably have great chemistry together and seeing what Hardy can do for Almas’ career is exciting.
He’s on the blue brand to make an impact and if Almas gets his chance to feud with The Charismatic Enigma, that impact would officially be made.
