2. Daniel Bryan
Just two years ago, fans thought they would never see Daniel Bryan compete in a WWE ring again after his apparent injury-induced retirement. But when the WWE tells fans to expect the unexpected, crazy things happen and fans were ecstatic for the announcement that Bryan would return to in-ring action.
Since that return, Bryan is back in the saddle again competing at a high level and having a number of dream matches. One of those dream matches came several weeks ago on SmackDown when Bryan faced Jeff Hardy. While it was viewed at as just a one-time thing, it could develop into more if the WWE decides to go this route.
Hardy’s future as U.S. Champion is uncertain and no current opponents are lined up to challenge him for the gold. And after Bryan is finished with his current feud with Big Cass, what’s next for The Yes Man? It could result in a U.S. Championship feud the likes of which fans never thought they’d see before pitting Hardy against Bryan.
It seems inevitable that Bryan will feud with The Miz, but in the meantime, a feud with Hardy for the U.S. Championship could be very beneficial for both superstars. It could get Bryan back to a championship level and it would give Hardy a top talent to work with. Not only that, but seeing two main event caliber talents feuding for a mid-card title raises the status of the U.S. Championship.
This could be a feud to remember for a long time if the WWE decides to go with it and it could greatly help the perception of the U.S. Championship.
