AJ Styles

AJ Styles is someone I would expect to be on this kind of list any time I do one. AJ is certainly one of the best the world has to offer in terms of in ring ability, and he showed it here. The story going into this match was centered around AJ being the emotional and prideful baby face, with Nakamura being the cool, calm, and collected heel trying to take advantage of any mistake AJ would make.

AJ played this role very well, and sold to me that he would do anything he could possibly do to keep Nakamura down for the 10 count. This match was exactly what I hoped it would be; a smash mouth brawl. AJ and Nakamura worked a very snug match, with all of the striking looking more than convincing. Much similar to the sort of match they had in NJPW, they didn’t hold anything back on this one.

AJ played his part throughout the match perfectly, whether it be when he had to sell or when it was time to go on the offense, he delivered. The final blow in this match would end with AJ hitting Shinsuke with a Pronominal Forearm from in the ring to the outside and blasting Shinsuke through the announcer’s table.
