Ronda Rousey

Going into this match, I was worried for Ronda. I was worried that this match with Nia Jax would be difficult for her to pull off. That will be the last time I doubt Ronda Rousey in the ring. Rousey was absolutely fantastic in this match all the way through. What I didn’t realize about Ronda is how great she would be at selling. She sold Nia’s offense beautifully, making it look like a struggle. At one point even attempting to get to her feet after a power bomb from Jax, then stumbling through the ropes to the floor.

After selling for so long, Ronda finally made her come back, and this is where Ronda is really in her comfort zone. When it comes to throwing strikes and being on the offensive, Ronda is great. She doesn’t look like she’s holding back, she doesn’t look like she’s going half-speed, she looks like she is trying to hurt someone, and I appreciate that. When Ronda is trying to put a submission in, it looks like a struggle to try to lock it in, like it would in a real fight.

Ronda showed in this match that she is ready for any challenge that is put in front of her, and I believe at this point that Ronda will be able to put on a good, believable match with anyone.
