WWE SmackDown Live: Is Team Hell No Here To Stay?

Kane returned to WWE SmackDown Live last night to reform Team Hell No and save Daniel Bryan. But can you really trust the Big Red Monster?

WWE SmackDown Live witnessed the reunion of Daniel Bryan and Kane last night. The Big Red Monster would make a surprise return and make the save for Bryan as the Bludgeon Brothers looked to put the latter through a dangerous double team move. The WWE Universe erupted in unison, cheering for the two members of a beloved tag team from the not so distant past.

The two would hug it out in the ring and all seemed right in the world. The fans witnessed a feel good moment to close out the show as well. But all this left a bad taste in my mouth. Can you really trust the Big Red Monster? How can you be so sure Kane isn’t out here to put Bryan in harm’s way again? After all, the last time these two men were in the same room, Kane choke-slammed Bryan into a table.

So I felt like continuity was jumping out from a window when Bryan immediately hugged it out with Kane. If anything, they could have played it up for a couple more weeks to ensure the reunion would last. But instead, all it took was two minutes. That then lead me to question the reason(s) for this creative decision. Sadly, the more I look at this, it seems more and more likely that Kane has returned to feud with Bryan, rather than be his tag team partner.

For starters, if Team Hell No were to be reformed for the long run, creative would have given it some more thought and time to develop. Bryan wouldn’t have hugged it out so soon and would have left Kane hanging. Before you know it, you would have seen Team Hell No merchandise all around, eventually resulting in the duo joining together, like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

Moreover, Kane is now running for the Mayor of Knox County. How long can he keep up with a full-time WWE schedule if he decides to be active in politics? Throw in the fact that Daniel Bryan’s contract status is still up in the air. Bryan will most likely stick with the WWE. But until the deal is done, creative might be reluctant to place him in a top angle or in the WWE  title picture.

We now know that Team Hell No will be challenging the tag team champions, the Bludgeon Brothers at Extreme Rules. One can root for the popular babyface tag team and expect them to complete their reunion by winning the titles. But what if the duo fails to get the job done due to some miscommunication? What if, this results in Kane turning on Bryan out of anger and frustration?

It will lead to a mini singles feud for Bryan, with a reasonable level of history and background story that can easily last for a good couple of months. Moreover, it always seemed like the Bludgeon Brothers were being built up to drop the title to Sanity eventually. What are your thoughts on Team Hell No? Do you trust Kane to stick around and not turn on Bryan?
