WWE NXT is a different flavor to the main roster, and that’s reflected in the themes selected for each TakeOver. NXT tends to favor rock songs, which is definitely indicative of Triple H’s style.

Each WWE NXT TakeOver seems to be better than its previous iteration, and the selection of theme songs adds greatly to the awesomeness of the wrestling experience. Below are the top 20 theme songs in the history of TakeOver specials to this point.

20) Sleeping With Sirens – We Like It Loud – NXT TakeOver Brooklyn

For NXT TakeOver Brooklyn, Sleeping With Sirens’s “We Like It Loud” was selected. It added a level of hype to TakeOver’s first appearance in Brooklyn.

19) Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes – The Devil Inside – NXT TakeOver Dallas

This theme clearly had a double meaning as it was the promo behind Finn Bálor vs Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship. On one hand, it symbolized Joe’s obsession with Bálor and his determination for the NXT Championship and the lengths he would go for it. On the other hand, it had a literal meaning for Bálor, as he once again became The Demon for this battle.
