Upon rumors that Fandango was injured this weekend, WWE.com confirmed that the star was hurt and required surgery.

Fandango suffered from a torn Left Labrum and will be undergoing surgery on Tuesday for the injury. The WWE wrestler, who is a member of the popular tag team, Breezango, could be out of action for 6 months.

Fandango signed with WWE in 2006, and made his debut on the main roster as Johnny Curtis in December of 2010.  He remained working their original NXT shows, and the occasional SmackDown show, until October 2012, when he was repackaged as Fandango. Fandango then went on to defeat Chris Jericho at WrestleMania in his first televised match in the gimmick. Sadly, for Fandango, WWE failed to capitalize on his momentum and largely left him to the undercard.

On May 12, 2016, Tyler Breeze and Fandango formed a tag team that seemed to finally work for both men. Breeze and Fandango showed great chemistry teaming together, and played off each other well in promos. This eventually led to Breeze and Fandango starting a popular segment on SmackDown Live called The Fashion Files, that saw them investigating crimes against fashion.

While the segments were very entertaining, it was clear that plans for the characters were constantly being changed. This occurred several times, as segments of the Fashion Files would be announced the week before, only to not happen at all. Some storylines were left unresolved, as we never really did find out who was trashing their office continually. However, the segment did a wonderful job getting both men over with the fans, and highlighted a comedy side to The Ascension as well.

Breezango was drafted to Raw in the 2018 Superstar Shake Up, and have largely not been used on TV since. The news of the injury to Fandango means it’s even less likely that Breeze will be used on television soon, which has to be a blow to both men. Breezango, The Fashion Police, are a very entertaining act, and it’s sad to see that Fandango has been injured. Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery.
