Corey Graves is arguably the best commentator in all of professional wrestling, and there’s nothing funnier than listening to him berate Byron Saxton. Now, you can tell Saxton to “Shut Up”, too, by wearing a simple T-Shirt that has just been added to the WWE Shop.
Commentators hold a special role in professional wrestling, and there might not be a more entertaining gig than being a heel commentator. Few people are better at putting over the bad guys than Corey Graves, who has become something of a living legend with his quick wit and a moral compass that always points south.
We’ve seen Mauro Ranallo receive a theme song this year (it’s pretty sweet, too), and now Graves is getting some love with merchandise on the WWE Shop.
It’s a simple black T with a black-and-white head-and-shoulder shot of Graves’s handsome mug. You can just see the gears turning in his head, because you know he’s about to start admonishing Bayley, The New Day, or his favorite punching bag, Byron Saxton.
Because the shirt itself says, “Shut up Saxton,” and if you could only say three words on commentary in WWE, then those would be the words. It’s not that Saxton is a bad commentator, because he’s pretty dang good at calling the action and praising the good guys. The problem is that he’s boring and so logical that he begins to become illogical. He’s stuffy, he’s a know-it-all, and he’s so goody-two-shoes that you just can’t help but hate him.
So buy Graves’s T-Shirt. Embrace your inner bad guy. Listen to some Deftones. And above all else, please, for the love of Bray Wyatt, tell Byron Saxton to shut up! I bet he isn’t even WOKEN either!
