There were some ups and some downs from the show last night, but what did we learn from Extreme Rules? These are your 5 Takeaways from WWE Extreme Rules 2018.

Roman Reigns Will Not Slay the Beast

At WWE Extreme Rules 2018, we saw a match that I would say over delivered on what I expected in Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns. And, in what came as a surprise to me, Bobby won it.

Since the build up to WrestleMania, it’s been quite apparent that the end game for Brock Lesnar has been to drop the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns. At least, I thought it was. This loss from Roman Reigns though all but assures that that is not what is going to happen.

With Brock possibly only having one match left on his WWE contract, and that match likely being at SummerSlam, it appears as though Bobby Lashley is in the optimum position to be the one to dethrone the beast.

There’s still this creeping feeling in the back of my mind that somehow this is just going to be to throw us off the scent, and that Roman still ends up facing Lesnar next, but I can’t see logically how that would be the case here. Never say never, but I think it is safe to assume that Brock Lesnar will not be losing the Universal Title to Roman Reigns.
