WWE Raw: 3 Challengers For Dolph Ziggler At SummerSlam

Dolph Ziggler is the reigning Intercontinental Champion on WWE Raw. Here are three fresh challengers for the Show Off to lock horns with next.

The WWE looked to move away from Extreme Rules and move towards SummerSlam this week. Raw was focused on building towards the Summer blockbuster as plans for both Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar were unveiled. We’re sure more matches will be added to the card to build excitement for the show. The sooner the matches are decided, the more time creative can use to build that match.

One of those matches would be for the Intercontinental Championship, held by Dolph Ziggler at the moment. The Show Off has always been great in the ring. With the IC title around his waist and Drew McIntyre by his side, Ziggler has been on fire and seems unstoppable. His battles with Seth Rollins were outstanding and now the Show Off can look towards more challengers.

The first of those was Bobby Roode who challenged Ziggler this week. Though Roode was not given a title match, they still fought to determine a winner. Normally, under such circumstances, the challenger would pick up a ‘surprise’ win to set up a title match later down the line. But this time around, Ziggler made sure he prevailed. Even without any assistance from McIntyre, Ziggler picked up a notable win.

This sets him up for a new challenger. A Championship reign is only as good as the challengers that feature during it. Who should step up to challenge Ziggler now? Seeing that he is a heel, there is no need for weekly open challenges. Instead, let creative build towards a seasoned feud that will culminate with a title match at SummerSlam. Which present star can make the case to face the Show Off?
