There will be many exciting segments and matches on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, but nothing can exceed the buzz behind Randy Orton’s epic return and heel turn as well as the suspense behind WWE Champion AJ Styles’ next opponent for SummerSlam.
We are now on the road to the biggest WWE event of the summer: SummerSlam! On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, there will be new, upcoming feuds and some continuing ones due to the aftermath of the Extreme Rules PPV.
In terms of new feuds, I foresee Rusev turning on his tag team partner, Aiden English, due to the turnbuckle mishap in his very first WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules. Also, Daniel Bryan will most likely have to find a new tag team partner to face Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Titles at SummerSlam due to Kane’s ankle injury.
In terms of continued feuds, I foresee Asuka to continue targeting Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s title. However, Beck Lynch could also join the fray. Also, Shinsuke Nakamura is scheduled to defend his U.S. title in a rematch against Jeff Hardy, but the returning Randy Orton could very well get involved as well.
Finally, I foresee Samoa Joe becoming the new #1 contender for AJ Styles’ WWE Championship. With all of that already on tap for WWE SmackDown Live, let’s take a look at five elaborative predictions for tonight’s SmackDown.
