Impact Wrestling: Slammiversary 2018 is Officially Sold Out
Impact Wrestling’s annul pay-per-view Slammiversary is less than week away, coming up on July 22nd. If you haven’t already bought a ticket to Impact’s event of the summer, you are officially out of luck.
Impact Wrestling made the announcement today via Twitter that the Slammiversary pay-per-view has officially sold out, four days before the event.
The event is set to take place in the Main Room of The Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Canada, which has a capacity of 3,700.
It’s no surprise the event has sold out, as it’s been noted that Impact Wrestling program has gone through an creative revival in the year 2018, and the storylines Impact has built going into the event have kept us glued to our television screens for weeks.
It’s not the Mercedes Benz Superdome with a capacity of upwards of 78,000, but Impact selling out their big events is truly confirmation that Impact Wrestling knows how to fill seats. It tells us that Impact programming in the year 2018 is connecting to the viewership, something you may not have been able to say even a year ago.
Impact Wrestling tapings, including their pay-per-views, are for the most part held in the Impact Zone in Orlando, FL, or at venues in Canada, where the company is based. It’s not yet in tune to bigger venues, but with the recent announcement that the ROH/NJPW joint-event G1 Supercard will be held in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, there may be a possibility that Impact Wrestling will get a chance to sell-out bigger venues in the future.
