The July 23 edition of WWE Raw continued the trend of not being the most exciting show, but it did feature a historic announcement years in the making and a huge SummerSlam-related match.

WWE Raw hasn’t been very consistent in a while and while last night’s show fit that billing, there were a few noteworthy developments including a huge announcement for women’s wrestling.

The red brand is kind of stuck in neutral right now, but the next few weeks give the brand an opportunity to build key momentum heading into SummerSlam.  Let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the July 23 edition of WWE Raw.

5. Did The Deleters Of Worlds And The B-Team Just Have A Double Turn?

It seemed like Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt were bound for a pretty lengthy tag team title reign after capturing the Raw Tag Team Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event.  But their reign came to an end at Extreme Rules thanks to a team not many saw coming.

The B-Team of Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas gained momentum following The Miz’s departure over to the blue brand through the superstar shakeup, but not many saw how fast their rise would be.  They quickly earned a Raw Tag Team Championship opportunity at Extreme Rules and wouldn’t you know, Axel and Dallas pulled off the upset and are now tag team champions.

The Deleters Of Worlds invoked their rematch clause last night and had hopes of regaining their tag team titles.  But after a pretty good match that didn’t go on the longest, The B-Team retained their titles in another unconventional way, which has been a staple of the team up to this point.  But the potential bigger story came after the match was over.

Woken Matt and Wyatt appeared to give Axel and Dallas a show of respect, but they soon turned it into an attack and left The B-Team laying in the middle of the ring.  Did these teams just have a double turn is the question at hand.  Axel and Dallas acted less like obnoxious heels and more like babyfaces last night while The Deleters Of Worlds gained an edge to their team by laying out The B-Team after the match.

It might be nothing, but maybe a double turn is just what these teams need to take their act to another level.
