With a new NXT Champion being crowned, the possible WWE NXT: TakeOver Brooklyn IV card just got a major shakeup. What will it look like now?

(Editors Note: The author wrote this independent of any spoilers from future episodes of WWE NXT. Also, the NXT Women’s Championship match was made official last week, so that has been left out of this piece.)

What a difference a few weeks make. Thanks to last Wednesday’s scintillating main event — where fans saw Tommaso Ciampa beat Aleister Black for the NXT Championship — the upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV show may be headed in a slightly different direction than the one I originally envisioned.

That doesn’t change the fact that the annual pre-SummerSlam supercard is shaping up to be yet another Aaron Judge-level home run in NYC. Based on what the NXT creative team has done so far, it appears that we are going to get five very good matchups coming our way on Aug. 18.

But what will those matches be? Will Black get a rematch against Ciampa? Will someone else challenge “The Blackheart”? Who will challenge Adam Cole for the North American Championship? Who will challenge Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly for the tag team titles?

Since I’m not on the NXT creative team, I don’t have the answers. However, I do watch this show every week, and I do have some critical thinking skills, so I think I can figure this out, again. So let’s take a gander at what the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV card will look like. Hopefully, I won’t have to do this again in a few weeks.
