The July 30 edition of WWE Raw saw the return of the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar with his coinciding feud with Roman Reigns taking further shape as well.
The final WWE Raw of July had its positive moments even if it lacked in other areas and helped the buildup towards the SummerSlam pay-per-view in just under three weeks.
With SummerSlam rapidly approaching, the red brand is gearing up for the biggest party of the summer in an up and down way so far. With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the July 30 edition of WWE Raw.
5. The Raw Tag Team Championship Picture Adds New Potential Challengers
Not many would have thought Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel would be the Raw Tag Team Champions heading into SummerSlam. But The B-Team managed to pull that off after upsetting Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt at Extreme Rules and picked up another win against them in the rematch last week.
The former Miztourage duo has been a pleasant surprise among the tag team division on Monday nights, but after beating The Deleters Of Worlds for the second consecutive time, new challengers seemed likely to step up to the plate. Not only did that happen last night, but Hardy and Wyatt weren’t done with The B-Team either.
The Deleters Of Worlds approached The B-Team in the ring and cut a quick promo only like they can before The Revival joined the picture. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson said they want in on the tag team title picture, ultimately leading to a brief scuffle and a tag team match pitting Hardy and Wyatt against The Revival. It wasn’t officially a number one contender’s match, but it could end up being just that.
The Revival picked up the big win over The Deleters Of Worlds and appear to be in firm contention for a Raw Tag Team Championship opportunity. This makes sense on many fronts given how The Revival has been poorly booked over the past few months. It also gives the tag team title picture a needed new obstacle that will no doubt be eyeing to capture the Raw Tag Team Championship.
Hardy and Wyatt might not be finished with The B-Team yet, but The Revival appeared to have joined the fold in a big way last night as well.
