5 Dream Matches for Matt Riddle in WWE

For about a week now, there have been rumors of WWE signing independent wrestling star Matt Riddle. With the King of Bros now almost certainly headed to undisputed king of “sports entertainment,” where does he fit on the already-stacked roster of WWE? More specifically, who are his dream matches?

Matt Riddle is one of the most buzzed about independent wrestling superstars in quite some time. In addition to his unique, chilled out gimmick, Riddle’s crossover UFC style and incredible talent in the ring sets him after only a few years, sets him apart from most of the indie crowd. As such, WWE has scooped him up, likely for their developmental brand in NXT, in order to secure yet another “indie darling.”

WWE has been doing a lot of this lately, but Riddle might be the most impactful of the bunch. Although he is already 32 years old, Riddle is still young (and somewhat green) enough to keep getting better as he pushes towards 35 and eventually 40. Riddle has the capabilities to be a franchise-changing wrestling talent, and as long as he stays out of danger of WWE’s wellness policy, there is absolutely nothing holding him back.
