Four matches have already been announced for this week’s episode of WWE Raw, including Ronda Rousey’s Raw in-ring debut. What could happen this week?
There’s only two episodes of WWE Raw before SummerSlam, with the first hitting Jacksonville, FL, tonight. After the chaos of last week’s installment, there’s a lot of questions floating around regarding Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, and Kurt Angle.
And with four matches already announced, there’s a lot of action coming our way. Ronda Rousey will make her Raw in-ring debut in a singles match against Alicia Fox. There’s also championship implications potentially at stake in a tag team match. And two grudge matches will top things off.
Without further ado, here’s five predictions for this week’s episode of WWE Raw.
Roman Reigns is Again Forced Away from Brock Lesnar
We don’t even know if Brock is scheduled to appear this week on Raw. But on the off chance he decides to make an entrance, there’s no way Roman Reigns gets anywhere near him. It’s pretty obvious what the plan is at this point: Brock denigrates and disrespects everything about the brand and the company, Reigns is the conquering hero to save us, and the big showdown happens at SummerSlam.
But all this means that Reigns will be the focal point of the build. It’s not totally ideal, because that’s pretty much how the build to WrestleMania and the Greatest Royal Rumble went, and they weren’t great. Still, allowing Reigns a chance to put himself out there is probably better than feeding him to the Beast, and getting the fans on Lesnar’s side when he F5s Roman repeatedly.
