Kurt Angle deals with fallout from Brock Lesnar’s assault last week. Plus, Ronda Rousey makes her in-ring WWE Raw debut against Alicia Fox.
Previously on WWE Raw, Brock Lesnar showed up to read magazines and kick ass, but he reads slow so he didn’t run out of magazines until the show was almost over. Roman Reigns wanted to fight Lesnar, but got sent home early. Ronda Rousey got mad and booked into a match. And Seth Rollins needed a friend badly.
This week on Raw, we’ve already had four matches announced. I believe that’s some kind of a record, since WWE usually books the show on the fly — or at least that’s the impression. In the most notable of the four matches, Ronda Rousey will make her in-ring Raw debut against Alicia Fox.
Rousey has had her fair share of trouble with Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, who has tapped Fox as her new BFF with Mickie James injured. Bliss has also been a thorn in the side of Natalya, Rousey’s good friend and training partner. Before Rousey gets her hand on Bliss at SummerSlam, she’ll take on Fox tonight. Will it be a fair fight?
The other big news surrounds Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, and how he’ll handle Brock Lesnar. Last week, Brock finally came down to the ring, only to assault Angle and, surprisingly, Paul Heyman. With the Universal Champion unhinged and seemingly advocate-free, Angle will have his hands full — especially if Roman Reigns is forcibly removed from the building again.
In other action, The B-Team face The Revival, with possible championship implications down the road. Mojo Rawley and Bobby Roode follow up their locker room brawl last week with an official match this week. And Sasha Banks and Bayley once again square off against Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan of the Riott Squad. Plus, Seth Rollins will try to even the odds against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre ahead of SummerSlam.
Be sure to follow along with our live WWE Raw review right here tonight. The action kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network, and we’ll be here all night!
