WWE SummerSlam 2018 is the biggest party of the summer and the party involved will feature some high-profiled matches that have the WWE universe talking.
In less than a week, WWE SummerSlam 2018 will shakeup the WWE to its core with several important battles taking place, including several key championship matches with a lot at stake.
The event could be very beneficial for the superstars involved and several could really use a win. But which superstars need a win the most? With that being said, let’s take a look at the three superstars that need a win the most at WWE SummerSlam 2018.
3. Braun Strowman
It was only about a year ago that Braun Strowman seemed destined to capture the Universal Championship. And there might have been some ups and downs creatively since then, but it seems like everything is lined up perfectly for Strowman to finally taste championship gold.
After winning the Money in the Bank briefcase back in June, The Monster Among Men has a guaranteed Universal Championship opportunity any time he wants it. But the thorn in his side known as Kevin Owens isn’t making things easy for Strowman. The two have been entangled in a pretty strange feud over the past couple months, but it will reach a key level at SummerSlam.
KO technically beat Strowman at Extreme Rules despite being thrown off the top of a steel cage, so he would love a repeat at SummerSlam when he takes on Strowman again. But this time, no matter how it would happen, if Strowman loses in any capacity, he loses his Money in the Bank briefcase to Owens. This has been focused on in recent weeks on Raw as well.
While there is drama surrounding this match given the stipulation, there’s no other way around it, Strowman has to win here. There doesn’t seem to be much dispute that he won’t win, but that doesn’t make it any less of a necessity. Mr. Monster in the Bank has to be the man to cash in and win the Universal Championship.
It’s time to finally crown Strowman as Universal Champion and he should get one step closer to reaching that goal with a win at SummerSlam.
