Tommaso Ciampa is leading WWE NXT in its darkest hour as the brand’s men’s champion, and while he has stated in the past that he would not release merchandise, it looks like he’s had a change of heart. Just kidding. He doesn’t have a heart. He’s literally Satan.
On Saturday night at WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, Tommaso Ciampa will take on Johnny Gargano for the third time this year. Their matches at TakeOver: New Orleans and TakeOver: Chicago II were instant classics, with Ciampa defeating Gargano in Chicago with his hands tied behind his back.
This week’s bout in Brooklyn will be different, because the NXT Championship is on the line. The match was originally supposed to be a Triple Threat involving Aleister Black, who lost the title to Ciampa weeks ago on NXT TV, but Black was blindsided in the parking lot.
Ahead of TakeOver, Ciampa has announced on Twitter that he has new merchandise available, and it looks like it will be up on the WWE Shop sometime soon. You can check out the shirt in the tweet embedded below.
As you can see, this isn’t nearly as good as his “Blackheart” shirt, which is to be expected. Why would Ciampa give out premium merchandise to the fans? He hates the NXT Universe with every fiber of his being. He’s only releasing this good-but-not-great T-Shirt as a means of making even more bank to help further solidify his status as “Tommy Entertainment”.
I’d encourage you to avoid buying this shirt and supporting this heinous man, or, if you feel compelled to burn some money, you should also plan on burning the shirt. I mean, yeah, Gargano isn’t exactly perfect, but if you think for one minute I’m going to endorse Ciampa…
In all seriousness, Ciampa’s work this year has been tremendous, and I have enjoyed every single match he’s had this year. Even his match with Black on weekly television was brilliant, as Ciampa’s selling is truly among the best in the WWE today. This shirt is simple, but I like the NXT-flavored color scheme and the appropriately placed black heart.
