2. Triple H vs Shawn Michaels
Triple H and Shawn Michaels had one of the best, most captivating feuds to grace a WWE ring, and their first match started off with a bang in a Street Fight that many fans regard as possibly the best match of their feud.
Heading into Summerslam, it all started at Vengeance when Trips was convincing by a returning Shawn Michaels to join the Raw brand to get the band back together. HHH obliged, but in the middle of their DX reunion the next night, he turned on HBK, laying him out with a Pedigree.
A week later, The Heartbreak Kid was found unconscious in a parking lot after someone cracked his head open through a car window. Footage from a security camera would later reveal that this someone was none other than Triple H.
Now, despite not wrestling in four years, Michaels was out for blood. That’s when Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff decided to book an Unsanctioned Street Fight for the two men; “unsanctioned” because if these guys killed each other, Bischoff didn’t wanna be held responsible.
What proceeded on the night of SummerSlam 2002 was a battle for the ages, and a night where fans discovered that The Heartbreak Kid has still got it after all these years.
